Job 5:19 – význam
Job 5:19 2026-10-28
Z šesti úzkostí vysvobodil by tebe, ano i v sedmi nedotklo by se tebe zlé.
Co to znamená
Job 5:19 is spoken by Eliphaz, one of Job's friends. He says that God will rescue a person from many hardships, and that in the seventh trouble no harm will reach them. The phrase 'six... yes, seven' is a Hebrew way of saying 'again and again, over and over, always enough.' It is a promise of rescue through repeated trouble, not a claim that a faithful person will never suffer. The wider speech is also a claim that suffering is always deserved, which the book of Job itself argues against, so the verse should be read with that tension in view.
Pro dnešek
Many people today go through a run of bad months: a layoff, then a sick parent, then a broken relationship, while their phone keeps pinging with other people's highlight reels. This verse can sound like a comforting promise that the storm ends, but it can also sound like a cheap answer to someone who is still in the middle of it. It is more honest to hear it as a hope that trouble does not have the last word, while admitting that the hope is harder to feel when the bills are unpaid and the night is long.
K zapamatování
Dnes můžeš věřit, že se těžké období nemusí nutně zastavit u tebe, a zároveň si připustit, že to, co právě prožíváš, nemusí být hned v pořádku.
