Proverbs 28:23 – význam
Proverbs 28:23 2026-10-29
Kdo domlouvá člověku, potom spíše milost nalézá nežli ten, kterýž lahodí jazykem.
Co to znamená
Proverbs 28:23 says that a person who honestly corrects someone will, in the long run, earn more goodwill than someone who only offers smooth, flattering words. Honest rebuke may sting at first, but it builds trust over time, while flattery pleases in the moment and leaves the other person without real help or respect.
Pro dnešek
Think of a friend who tells you your business plan has a hole in it, or a colleague who points out an error in your report before the client sees it. In the moment it is uncomfortable, but later you value them more. On the other side are the constant compliments of online life, the 'great job!' comments and likes that feel nice but say little about who actually cares about us. Many of us have felt the difference between someone who praises everything and someone whose praise we can trust because they are also willing to be honest.
K zapamatování
Dnes stojí za to si všimnout, kdo mi říká pravdu s laskavostí, a zamyslet se, zda sám umím být takovým člověkem pro ostatní.
