Privacy Policy
This policy explains how One Verse a Day ("we") handles information when you visit oneverseaday.com. Last updated: 30 September 2026.
Reading the site
You can read every page without an account. The site does not set any cookies and does not use tracking or analytics scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so reading a page does not contact Google or other third parties. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from abuse; we do not store them.
Visitor counts
To see whether the site is useful, we count how many pages are viewed each day, as one total per type of page (for example "verse pages: 120"), and which channel a visit came from (Instagram, Pinterest, the daily email). These are plain counters on our server: no cookie is set, and nothing about you — no IP address, no browser details — is stored.
Email subscription
If you subscribe to the daily email, we store your email address, your chosen language and the date you signed up, solely to send you the daily verse. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by confirming the link we email you.
- Signups that are not confirmed are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep only your address marked as unsubscribed, so we never email you again. Ask us and we delete it completely.
- We do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Service providers
- Cloudflare (USA/EU) hosts the website and the database that holds subscriber data.
- Resend (USA) sends the emails; it receives your email address for that purpose only.
- Anthropic (USA) provides the AI that writes each day's reflection. It receives only the Bible verse, never any information about visitors or subscribers.
Transfers to the USA are covered by the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Sharing buttons and the widget
The "Pinterest" button is a plain link: nothing is sent to Pinterest until you click it. The embeddable verse widget for other websites sets no cookies and stores nothing.
Advertising
The site shows no ads today. If we add advertising (for example Google AdSense) in the future, visitors in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland will first be asked for consent, and this policy will be updated before any ad cookies are used.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to its use, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@oneverseaday.com. We answer within 30 days.
