Psalms 123:3: semnificație

Psalms 123:3 2026-10-14

Ai milă de noi, Doamne, ai milă de noi, căci suntem sătui de dispreţ;

Ce înseamnă

Psalm 123 is a short prayer from people who have been looked down on for a long time. Verse 3 is a plea: the speakers ask for mercy twice, because they have endured a great deal of scorn from those who feel superior and comfortable. The words are not about one insult but about a sustained, heavy weight of being despised. They turn to God, not to their oppressors, as the only one who can answer.

Pentru azi

Many people today know this kind of contempt in quieter forms: a boss who belittles you in meetings, online comments that mock your work or your appearance, a neighbourhood or family where you are always the one who is dismissed, or the everyday sting of being treated as less because of your job, accent, age or money. The verse gives language to that exhaustion. It also shows that asking for mercy out loud, even when you feel you have no power, is not weakness; it is an honest way of admitting how much you have been carrying.

De reținut

Dacă ai purtat mult timp disprețul altora, poate că și tu ai dreptul să spui deschis că ești obosit, și să cauți cineva care să te asculte cu bunătate.
