Psalms 123:3 jelentése
Psalms 123:3 2026-10-14
Könyörülj rajtunk, Uram, könyörülj rajtunk! Mert igen elteltünk gyalázattal.
Mit jelent
A community cries out to God for mercy because they have been humiliated and looked down on for a long time. The verse is not asking for a single favor; it names a weariness that has built up, the sting of being scorned by people who feel secure and comfortable. The repetition of 'have mercy on us' shows how raw and urgent the plea is.
Mára
Many people know this feeling today: being mocked online, dismissed at work by someone with more power, or treated as lesser because of their background, income, or beliefs. The contempt can wear you down slowly, until you are simply tired of being looked down on. This psalm gives words to that exhaustion and lets a person say honestly that they have had enough, without pretending they are fine.
Tanulság
Sometimes the most honest prayer is simply admitting how much you have been hurt and asking for relief, and that admission is not weakness.
