Isaiah 1:26: significado
Isaiah 1:26 2026-10-16
E te restituirei os teus juizes, como foram d'antes; e os teus conselheiros, como antigamente; e então te chamarão cidade de justiça, cidade fiel.
O que significa
Isaiah 1:26 is a promise of renewal to Jerusalem after a period of corruption and judgment described earlier in the chapter. God says he will bring back the honest judges and wise counselors the city once had, the way it was in its early days. Then the city will be known again as a place of righteousness and faithfulness. The verse is less about a sudden miracle and more about restoring good leadership and integrity, so that a community that had lost its way becomes trustworthy again.
Para hoje
Think of a town where the local council, the courts, or the company leadership have lost the public's trust, where favors are traded and the people who should look out for others look out for themselves. The verse speaks to the hope that those institutions can be made honest again, and that a place's reputation can change because its people choose fairness over convenience. It also asks something of ordinary people: trust is rebuilt slowly, through many small acts of honesty, not through a single announcement. For someone who feels cynical about public life today, the verse offers a quiet reminder that decline is not the final word, though it doesn't pretend the repair is easy.

Hoje, vale perguntar onde posso ser uma pequena parte da confiança que quero ver reconstruída ao meu redor.
