Isaiah 1:26 – merkitys
Isaiah 1:26 2026-10-16
Ja minä palautan sinun tuomarisi muinaiselleen ja sinun neuvonantajasi sellaisiksi, kuin alkuaan olivat. Sitten sinua kutsutaan "vanhurskauden linnaksi", "uskolliseksi kaupungiksi".
Mitä se tarkoittaa
Isaiah 1:26 is a promise of renewal after a period of collapse. The prophet describes a Jerusalem whose leadership has become corrupt, and God says he will restore judges and advisors like those of earlier, better days. The city will then be renamed 'city of righteousness, faithful town', meaning a place where justice and trustworthiness define its identity, not just its history. The verse looks forward to a future that returns to an older integrity.
Tälle päivälle
Many people today have watched institutions they trusted, such as workplaces, local government, schools, or even families, lose their integrity. The verse speaks to that disappointment without pretending it is simple: it names a loss and then hopes for a return to honest people in honest roles. In Finland, where trust in public institutions has often been high, a scandal in a municipal council or a company can feel like a betrayal of something valued. The verse suggests that rebuilding trust starts with who we choose to lead and advise us, and with a shared commitment to fairness that can be renewed rather than assumed.

Tänään voi olla hyvä kysyä itseltään, keitä luotan ja kenen neuvoon todella nojaan, ja mitä itse voisin tehdä, jotta ympärilläni olisi enemmän oikeudenmukaisuutta ja luotettavuutta.
