Acts 7:26 – betydning

Acts 7:26 2026-10-24

Og den næste Dag viste han sig iblandt dem under en Strid og vilde forlige dem til at holde Fred, sigende: „I Mænd! I ere Brødre, hvorfor gøre I hinanden Uret?‟

Hvad det betyder

Stephen recounts how Moses, the day after he had seen an Israelite being mistreated, came upon two Hebrew men fighting. Instead of simply taking sides or walking away, Moses tried to reconcile them, reminding them that they were brothers and asking why they were wronging each other. The point is that the people who share your roots are the last ones you should be hurting, and that a peacemaker steps into the quarrel rather than staying out of it.

Til i dag

Most of us know the feeling of a fight breaking out between two people we both care about, at work, in a family group chat, or in a neighbourhood association where tempers flare over parking or fences. It is tempting to pick a side, scroll past, or let it escalate online where people throw insults from behind screens. Moses' example is quieter and harder: he went into the middle, named the relationship they had in common, and asked a simple question about why they were hurting each other. That question still works in a Danish workplace or a family dispute, though it rarely resolves things in one conversation.

Til at tage med

Når noget går galt mellem mennesker, der burde stå hinanden nær, kan det at spørge, hvorfor vi sårer hinanden, være et lille skridt tilbage mod fred.
