Acts 7:26 – Bedeutung

Acts 7:26 2026-10-24

Und am folgenden Tage erschien er bei ihnen, als sie miteinander haderten, und ermahnte sie zum Frieden und sprach: Ihr Männer, ihr seid Brüder; warum tut ihr einander Unrecht?

Was es bedeutet

Stephen recounts how Moses, on the day after he had seen two Hebrews quarrelling, came back to them while they were fighting. Instead of taking sides or simply separating them, he tried to reconcile them, reminding them that they were brothers and asking why they were harming each other. The scene shows a leader who steps into a conflict between his own people, not as a judge who punishes, but as someone who appeals to their shared identity and asks them to stop hurting one another.

Für heute

Many of us know this from family arguments, the group chat that turns hostile, or colleagues who have stopped speaking after a dispute over a project. Moses' question, 'Warum tut ihr einander Unrecht?', is uncomfortable because it asks us to see that the person we're fighting is still one of ours. In a culture of online outrage, where disagreements are quickly turned into camps and enemies, the verse invites a slower move: naming the bond first, before deciding who is right.

Zum Mitnehmen

Bevor du heute den Streit gewinnen willst, frag dich, was euch eigentlich verbindet und ob du dem anderen gerade wirklich Unrecht tust.
