1 Corinthians 9:14 의미
1 Corinthians 9:14 2026-10-19
이와 같이 주께서도 복음 전하는 자들이 복음으로 말미암아 살리라 명하셨느니라
의미
Paul is arguing that people who devote themselves to preaching the gospel have a right to be supported materially by those they serve. He grounds this in the principle that the Lord set it up this way, so that those who proclaim the Good News can make their living from it. In context, Paul himself chose not to take such support in Corinth, so he is making a point about what is fair and allowed, not demanding payment for himself.
오늘을 위해
Today this touches on a real and often uncomfortable question: should people who do ministry, teach, or lead community work be paid, and by whom? Churches, volunteer groups, and nonprofits constantly wrestle with it, sometimes expecting pastors or missionaries to live on very little while calling it a calling. The verse says that fair support is not a favor but a reasonable arrangement, and it also reminds us that the one doing the work may choose to forgo it, as Paul did. It is a helpful lens for asking whether we treat people who give their working life to others with dignity, including the money to live.
마음에 새길 것
Fair support for those who give their lives to meaningful work is not a shameful request, and it is worth asking whether I am honoring that in my own community.
