Proverbs 15:17 – reikšmė

Proverbs 15:17 2026-10-20

Geriau daržovių pietūs, kur yra meilė, negu nupenėtas veršis ten, kur neapykanta.

Ką tai reiškia

Proverbs 15:17 says that a simple meal eaten among people who love each other is better than a rich feast shared in an atmosphere of hostility. The point is not that poverty is good, but that the quality of relationships matters more than the quality of the food on the table. A fattened calf stands for abundance and celebration, yet if hatred fills the room, the abundance turns sour.

Šiandienai

Many of us know this from family dinners where everyone is polite but tense, or from work celebrations where people quietly resent each other. We often chase bigger houses, nicer restaurants, and more impressive gatherings, thinking they will make us happy, while the relationships around the table quietly wither. The verse invites an honest question: when did you last sit down with someone and feel genuinely at ease, even if the meal was ordinary, like a simple soup with bread at a kitchen table with a friend or relative you trust?

Įsidėmėti

Today, notice who makes your table feel like home and let that matter more than what is served on it.
