Proverbs 15:17 jelentése

Proverbs 15:17 2026-10-20

Jobb a paréjnak étele, a hol szeretet van, mint a hízlalt ökör, a hol van gyűlölség.

Mit jelent

A simple meal eaten in a loving atmosphere is worth more than a lavish feast shared in tension or resentment. The verse ranks the quality of relationships above the quality of food: the herbs are cheap and humble, the fattened calf is rich and celebratory, yet the proverb says the modest table with love at it is the better thing to have.

Mára

Many of us know the scene: a fancy restaurant dinner where two people barely talk, or a holiday table laden with food while old grudges simmer under the small talk. Meanwhile, a quick bowl of soup eaten with a friend who really listens can leave you full in a way money can't buy. The verse also speaks to the pressure to host impressively or to upgrade our lives with better things, when what often matters most is who is sitting across from us. It doesn't pretend that hardship is pleasant, and it doesn't say that good food is bad; it just asks what we are really feeding.

Tanulság

Ma érdemes megkérdezni magunktól, hogy a mai asztalunknál inkább a szeretet vagy a feszültség ül-e velünk, és hogy tudunk-e egy egyszerű étkezésben is örömet találni.
