Što znači

Psalm 71:1 is a plea of trust. The writer says they run to God for shelter, like someone fleeing a storm to a strong house, and asks that they never be left humiliated or let down by that trust. It is less a demand than a settled hope that faith placed in God will not end in shame.

Many people today have put their trust in things that failed them: a job that was supposed to be secure, a relationship, a savings plan, a promise from an employer or a government. Scrolling through news and feeds at midnight, it is easy to feel that nothing and no one is reliable. This verse speaks to that tiredness. It does not promise that nothing will go wrong, but it names a choice to lean on something larger than our own control, and admits that the fear of being let down is real and worth saying out loud, even to God.
