2 Timothy 3:14 – značenje
2 Timothy 3:14 2026-10-13
Ti, naprotiv, ostani u onome u čemu si poučen i čemu si vjeru dao, svjestan od koga si sve poučen
Što znači
Paul is encouraging Timothy, his younger co-worker, to hold on to what he was taught and what he has come to be sure of. The reason to stay steady is that he knows who taught him: people he trusts, and in Timothy's case likely his mother and grandmother, whose faith is mentioned earlier in the letter. The verse is less about clinging to rules and more about staying anchored to what has been proven true in the people who shaped you.
Za danas
Many of us now learn things from a stream of anonymous sources: videos, podcasts, comment threads, and confident strangers online. Information arrives without a face attached, so it is easy to be swayed by whatever is loudest this week. This verse invites a practical question: who taught me this, and would I trust them with my life? In a Croatian setting, that might be the grandmother who taught you to cook and to care for others, or the teacher who stayed patient with you. Asking where your convictions came from is a healthy habit, whether your beliefs are religious or not, and it helps you tell the difference between what has been tested by real relationships and what is just noise.

Today, notice one belief or value you hold and gently ask yourself who first taught it to you and why you still trust it.
