Isaiah 44:21 – betydelse
Isaiah 44:21 2026-10-22
Tänk härpå, du Jakob, du Israel, ty du är min tjänare; jag har danat dig, ja, du är min tjänare. Israel, du varder icke förgäten av mig.
Vad det betyder
Isaiah 44:21 is God speaking to Jacob and Israel, the people of Israel, reminding them to keep in mind what has been said to them. He calls them his servant, says he formed them, and promises that Israel will not be forgotten by him. The verse is set in a context of reassurance: the people had reason to feel abandoned, and God answers that their identity and belonging rest on his making and his faithfulness, not on their own strength.
För idag
Many people today feel forgotten in a quieter way: by an employer who sees only output, by an algorithm that shows them nothing of their own life, or by friends who have drifted away. The verse speaks to that ache without pretending it doesn't exist. It suggests that being valued does not depend on being noticed or productive at every moment. For someone who measures their worth by likes, promotions, or how busy they look, the idea that you were shaped on purpose and are still held in mind can feel both unfamiliar and steadying. Readers of other faiths or none can still hear in it a question worth asking: what do I believe makes me worth remembering?

Tänk en stund på vad du har glömt bort om dig själv, och fråga dig om du ändå kan hålla fast vid att du är värd att bli ihågkommen.
