Ephesians 6:20: ερμηνεία
Ephesians 6:20 2026-10-25
υπέρ του οποίου είμαι πρέσβυς, φορών άλυσιν, διά να λαλήσω περί αυτού μετά παρρησίας καθώς πρέπει να λαλήσω.
Τι σημαίνει
Paul writes from prison, describing himself as an ambassador held in chains for the gospel. He asks the Ephesians to pray that he will speak about it with boldness and clarity, the way he is obligated to speak. His concern is not his comfort or his safety but faithfulness in declaring the message, even when his own situation is constrained.
Για σήμερα
Many people today feel muzzled in some way: afraid of losing a job, a friendship, or an online following if they say what they really think. Paul's request is a useful mirror. He is not asking for rescue from his chains, only for the words to come out clearly and without flinching when it matters. For someone who has something true to say but keeps softening it into vagueness, the verse asks what it would take to speak plainly, with care but without hiding.

Ask yourself today where you are holding back a true word out of fear, and what one honest sentence you could say with kindness instead.
