2 Corinthians 11:3 – význam

2 Corinthians 11:3 2026-10-11

Ale bojím se, aby snad, jakž onen had svedl Evu chytrostí svou, tak nebyly porušeny mysli vaše od sprostnosti, kteráž jest v Kristu.

Co to znamená

Paul is worried that the Corinthian believers could be led astray, just as Eve was tricked by the serpent's cunning. He fears their thinking could be bent away from a single, sincere devotion to Christ. The word he uses for 'simplicity' points to wholehearted, undivided loyalty, not naivety. The danger he names is not open rebellion but gradual distortion through clever persuasion.

Pro dnešek

Most of us are not tempted by obvious evil but by slick, plausible voices: a feed that keeps nudging us toward envy, a salesman's urgency, a colleague's half-truths, or our own endless comparison. Over months, our attention and loyalties can drift without us noticing. The verse asks us to notice what is quietly reshaping our focus and whether it still points toward what we truly care about.

K zapamatování

Today, ask yourself which persuasive voice in your life has been slowly bending your attention away from what you most want to be faithful to.
